Dr A. Efthimiadou is a researcher at the Hellenic Agricultural Organization-Demeter (ELGO-DIMITRA) since 2017. She belongs in the permanent research team of the Soil and Water research Institute and her research is on soil fertility, soil and plant microbiome, plant nutrition, sustainable agricultural practices and precision agriculture. She has graduated as Agriculturalist and Civil Engineer. She has an MSc in Environmental sustainability, MBA and a PhD from the University of Reading. Her Post doc research was conducted in the agricultural university of Athens. She has 20 years of academic experience and has worked in the Agricultural University of Athens, in the National Technical University of Athens (N.T.U.A.)., Open University of Cyprus and in the University of Thessalia in various projects. Her research activity includes participation in many sponsored research projects and more than 60 publications in International Journals with impact factor and Conference Proceedings. Her research interests are innovative agricultural practices and soil/plant microbiome.

Professor of the School of Chemical Engineering of NTUA. She has intensively worked in the design and development of functional foods, in the design and optimization of physical processes, the determination of thermophysical properties of foods, in database development, as well as in the evaluation of the economic and environmental impact of several products and processes. She has participated, both as a scientific advisor and as a researcher, in more than 50 research projects. She is representative of Food for Life Platform in Greece, representative of Greece at the International Scientific Committee of Drying (EFCE Working Party on Drying), President of the Scientific Committee of the Hellenic Food Industries Association (SEVT) and ambassador of Global Harmonization Initiative (GHI) in Greece.

Chemical Engineer with M.Sc. degree in Organization and Management of Industrial Systems with specialization in Energy management and Environmental protection Systems and PhD in the scientific area of integrated processes for holistic biomass valorization. She has great experience in working on EU funded projects and proposal writing.
